About RareLink
Card liquidity should feel modern.
Every weekend, somewhere in America, a Pokémon collector sells a Charizard for $500 on Facebook and loses $150 because the buyer claimed PayPal "Friends & Family" never arrived. Or pays eBay 13.25% because they don't want to risk it. Or hauls a binder to a card show and accepts 30% under market because a dealer is the only liquid buyer.
That math is broken. We're fixing it.
The mission
RareLink makes card transactions feel as fast and trustworthy as buying a stock. We take Robinhood's consumer psychology — clean interface, low visible fees, daily-habit interactions — and apply it to a market where 1990s-era platforms still extract 10%+ of every sale.
Sellers keep more
1% platform fee vs eBay's 13.25%. On a $500 card, that's $60 in your pocket instead of theirs.
Buyers stay protected
Funds held by Stripe during a 72-hour inspection. Tracking required. Disputes adjudicated by humans, not algorithms.
Liquidity, not paperwork
One link replaces a 19-field listing. Scan-to-list, sold comps, and offers are the Phase 2/3 backbone.
No 30% collectacon loss
You shouldn't have to sell a graded Charizard to a dealer at half value just because it's the only fast exit. Liquidity belongs to collectors.
Operating principles
The safest path is the cheapest path
Every feature is judged by whether it makes the right thing also the easy thing. If protected checkout costs more than risky checkout, we built it wrong.
No surprise fees, ever
If we can't print a complete fee breakdown on the checkout page, we don't ship the feature. Every dollar accounted for, every time.
Boring is the win
No fractional ownership, no crypto rails, no synthetic card derivatives. Just clean payment flow, real cards, real shipping, real disputes.
Humans handle disputes
An algorithm can't tell whether a corner ding happened in the press machine or in the FedEx truck. People review evidence. Speed matters less than getting it right.
Legal language matters
Stripe holds funds during inspection. RareLink keeps the language precise because trust is worth more than inflated claims.
